Build One Real Portfolio Project

Most fresher portfolios look alike — the same food delivery app, the same three screens, the same mockup. A recruiter has seen that project fifty times already. What they actually want to see is how you think: the problem you picked, what you found out, and why the final screens look the way they do.

In this free live cohort, you’ll build one real e-commerce project from scratch — your own niche Indian D2C brand, your own research, your own Figma prototype — guided live, start to finish, the way it happens at a real studio.

What you’ll walk away with

  • Your own e-commerce product — a brand you chose and researched yourself, different from every other student’s
  • A clickable Figma prototype of a complete shopping flow: browse, product page, cart, checkout
  • A case study structure ready to publish on Behance, your site or Notion
  • An honest answer to “walk me through your process” — because you lived it

How it runs

Three live mornings — research with AI on Day 1, structure and wireframes on Day 2, UI and your finished prototype on Day 3 — with a short homework brief between sessions and live feedback on real student work.

This is for you if

  • You’re a fresher, or finished a UI/UX course and haven’t landed a design job yet
  • You’ve never worked on a real project with a real brief
  • You know basic Figma and want to see how an experienced designer actually works

The framework behind the project

You'll design with TAPE — not just make it look nice.

TAPE is Amolendu's own framework for consumer loyalty design — Trust, Attachment, Persuasion, Emotion — distilled into his book Success Centered Design and proven on client work (it's what took Durian's online sales 5× after a redesign). You'll apply all four to your own project, which is exactly the structured, business-aware thinking recruiters mean when they ask "walk me through your process."

TTrust

Visual integrity and transactional clarity a stranger can feel in seconds.

AAttachment

Why someone comes back tomorrow instead of just today.

PPersuasion

Ethical nudges — social proof, clarity, authority — not manipulation.

EEmotion

The channel users actually decide through, before logic catches up.
